Yiwu International Trade City District 2: the floor plan, floor by floor

Five floors, one trade each, from umbrellas to trade services. This guide walks District 2 floor by floor and explains how to use the layout when you buy.

Yiwu markets: Yiwu International Trade City District 2

The logic of the building

District 2 opened in October 2004 as the second phase of the Yiwu International Trade City, covering 483 mu with more than 600,000 square metres of floor area. Over 8,000 booths are run by more than 10,000 business households, and the building was certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 in 2005.

The sorting principle matches the other districts: one trade per floor, near-identical ranges within an aisle. The building is also rated a national AAAA tourist attraction, and the central hall's second and third floors hold a tourism shopping centre and a market development history exhibition hall, but the trading floors are what a buyer needs.

Floor 1: bags, umbrellas and rainwear

Floor 1 carries bags, umbrellas and rainwear. It is the building's soft-goods floor: ranges change with fashion faster than the trades above, and minimum orders tend to be discussed in cartons of mixed colours and sizes.

Buy this floor by sample and specification card, as you would any fashion-adjacent category, and photograph the agreed sample. Neighbouring booths often show near-identical items, so the comparison is quick and the negotiation starts from visible alternatives.

Floor 2: locks, electrical goods, tools and vehicles

Floor 2 holds locks, electrical products, hardware tools and fittings, and vehicles. This is a specification floor: material, finish and standard decide both price and safety, and two visibly similar padlocks can differ in every part that matters.

Bring reference samples and ask which parts are produced in-house and which are bought in. Where the answer is bought in, the booth is a sales point, and the checks in our inspection guide apply before goods ship rather than after.

Floor 3: kitchen hardware, appliances and instruments

Floor 3 covers hardware for kitchen and bathroom, small appliances, telecom equipment, electronic instruments and clocks and watches. Voltage, plug type and certification are the questions that sort genuine suppliers from catalogue holders here.

State your destination market's requirements in the first conversation, because a supplier who cannot answer them precisely will cost you time at the inspection stage. The pricing guide explains how quantity bands and specification choices drive the quotes you will hear on this floor.

Floors 4 and 5: factories and trade services

Floor 4 is a factory direct-sales centre with boutique halls including Hong Kong, Korean merchants, Sichuan, Anhui, Jiujiang and Hetian halls, where regional producers exhibit directly. Floor 5 houses the foreign trade sourcing service centre for export procedure and documents.

The east annex completes the building's practicality: business administration, tax, a police station, banks, dining, logistics, post and telecom sit together. A market that puts the bank and the forwarder in one annex is designed for closing, not just browsing.

Floor assignments come from the official floor-plan page cited above, checked on 2026-10-27. Booth counts and certifications are operator figures. We do not publish prices.
